The Challenge

The client needed high-performance IR optical components that could operate in extreme environmental conditions while maintaining exceptional optical quality for long-range detection and identification. Standard commercial optics couldn't meet the demanding specifications for transmission efficiency and durability.

Our Solution

OPTOstokes-IROptical engineered custom CVD ZnSe windows and lenses with enhanced AR coatings optimized for the 8-12 um atmospheric transmission window. Our components were designed to withstand temperature extremes from -40 degrees C to +60 degrees C while maintaining optical performance.

Results

The thermal imaging system achieved detection ranges 30% greater than previous generation systems. The custom optics demonstrated exceptional reliability with zero failures during extensive field testing across diverse environmental conditions. The client has since placed additional orders for system upgrades.
