ZnSe Plano-Concave Lenses
ZnSe plano-concave lenses for IR beam expansion, divergence control, and Galilean beam expanders. Send drawings for custom diameter and coating review.
Product Overview
Overview
ZnSe plano-concave lenses are negative focal length optics used to diverge infrared beams and expand beam paths. They are commonly combined with positive lenses in beam expanders or for adjusting beam divergence before detectors.
Engineering Value
The plano-concave geometry produces a virtual focus and diverges collimated IR light. This is useful for beam expansion, divergence control, and pre-collimation adjustment in CO₂ laser and thermal imaging systems. ZnSe transmission supports the mid-IR range, making these lenses compatible with CO₂ laser wavelengths.
