Product Overview

CVD ZnSe Plano-Convex Lens 5mm Diameter 400mm Focal Length for CO2 Laser and LWIR Applications

CVD ZnSe Plano-Convex Lens 5mm Diameter 400mm Focal Length for CO2 Laser and LWIR Applications(Figure1)

The CVD ZnSe Plano-Convex Lens from iroptical is designed for infrared focusing and beam control applications requiring high transmission, low scattering loss, and reliable thermal performance. Manufactured from chemical vapor deposited zinc selenide (CVD ZnSe), this lens provides excellent optical performance across MWIR and LWIR wavelengths, making it suitable for CO2 laser systems and infrared optical assemblies.

With a 5mm diameter and 400mm nominal focal length, this precision infrared lens offers stable performance at 10.6um while maintaining useful transmission characteristics from visible alignment wavelengths to long-wave infrared applications.

This ZnSe plano-convex lens is commonly integrated into infrared optical systems where efficient focusing and beam transmission are required. Typical applications include:

  • CO2 laser focusing and beam delivery systems

  • Mid-wave infrared (MWIR) optical assemblies

  • Long-wave infrared (LWIR) imaging systems

  • Infrared sensing and thermal analysis equipment

  • QCL (Quantum Cascade Laser) based mid-infrared laser systems

For complete infrared component selection, iroptical also provides related IR Optical Components, including lenses, windows, prisms, and beam control optics.

Material Advantages of CVD ZnSe

CVD ZnSe is widely used in infrared optical applications because of its broad transmission range, high optical transmission efficiency, low scattering loss, and excellent thermal stability. These properties make it particularly suitable for high-power CO2 laser environments and demanding infrared optical designs.

For custom optical designs, engineers can also evaluate CVD ZnSe Blanks for application-specific lens manufacturing and precision infrared component development.

Customization & Service

iroptical supports custom ZnSe lens manufacturing based on customer drawings, wavelength requirements, focal length specifications, and optical tolerances. Standard inventory options are available for faster selection, while customized solutions provide flexibility for OEM and research applications.

Quality control, optical verification, and reliable production scheduling ensure consistent performance for demanding infrared systems.
